Upgrading RAM on HP Envy 6 1010eo Sleekbook

Hello,

I recently purchased a HP Envy  6 1010eo Sleekbook and i noticed that I have a vacant RAM-slot. I currently have 4gb of RAM and figured i should go for 8 since i run 64bit system.

Now the question is, how on earth do i get this computer open?

I tried to loosen all the screws on the back panel, but even without any screws attached i could figure out how it should open, i didnt want use brute force.

Would be awesome if anyone could help me with this!

Thanks in advance :smileyhappy:

From what I read on the net it is only the 12 screws but it is hard to open.

I'm also haven't a tough time getting the back off my sleekbook. I fancied putting my spare SSD in it, but taking the screws out seems to make no difference at all!

So, I guess this is just a bump for any new information or anyone with experience? Did OP manage to get the thing open? I don't want to break something forcing it open if there's some sort of catch or something hidden somewhere

Re: Upgrading RAM on HP Envy 6 1010eo Sleekbook

Hey guys,

I recently purchased HP Envy 6 Sleekbook
AMD A6
HDD 500gb
4GB RAM..etc

I live in UK London.

I fancied upgrading RAM and SSD (or RAM for starts).

I just need to know:

Where can I buy certified HP parts for my Envy 6 in UK?

And will HP be willing to instal it for me? (I am total amature/noob for computers)

Thanks guys :smileyhappy:

Hello VENOMs7000.  I understand yuo'd like to purchase some parts.

You can visit HP's Part Surfer page and purchase parts there.  Just make sure to select the UK as your region.

I hope this helps!
