What CPU upgrade? Hp Compaq 6715s

I need to upgrade my Cpu and I know how to go about it I just don't know which of the latest Cpu's are compatible, the user manual only features older, dated ones.

Laptop: HP Compaq 6715s

Mainboard: HP 30C2

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Current CPU: AMD Turion X2 Mobile TL-60

Any information specifically on what CPU I should by would be much appreciated. 🙂

You're very welcome.

On HP business PC's and Desktops they have a 'Quickspecs' link for every model that gives info such as memory capacity, supported processors etc.

Just google 6715s Quickspecs and you will find them.

There may be revisions to these, so try and find the latest revision out there.

This was the newest one I could find for your model.

Hi, is the turion 64 x2 TMDTL60HAX5DM also compatible with the board? I have the same laptop, and I've discovered that there are 2 turion 64 x2 tl-60 processors: the TMDTL60HAX5CT with 90 nm manufactoring process and the TMDTL60HAX5DM with 65 nm manufacturing process. Will the newer processor be ok for my laptop?
