I need to upgrade the ram and the harddrive of an HP Probook 4520s, and I do not want to void the warranty.
Knowing that I will have to remove the switchcover, the keyboard and the palmrest.
Would it be possible to take it to hp hardware support to do the upgrade for me, or is that not supported under warranty ?
What are my options ?

Hi:
According to the manual, I do not see where you need to remove the palmrest.
You remove the battery, switchcover and slide the keyboard toward the display, carefully flip it over and you should see the memory modules under there. I do not believe you need to disconnect the keyboard. Just leave it flipped over and change out the memory. See the note, NOT to remove the ribbon unless you are replacing the keyboard, which you are not.
You will not void the warranty unless you physically damage any of the parts you removed, or physically damage the memory slots. HP isn't going to pay if you break the switch cover in half for example.
HP may do it for you, but you will pay a good amount of money for the service. Upgrades are not part of the warranty coverage.
