Re: adobe software reinstallation

Boot your notebook into the Windows operating system. Click on the Windows orb and in all programs select HP and then Recovery manager. In the Recovery Manager menu choose Software program reinstallation and click on next. Highlight the Adobe program that you want to reinstall among the choices given and click on next. The Recovery Maneger will now reinstall the software.

Re: adobe software reinstallation

Thanks for info erico, but I am a rookie! Could you give me plainer instructions, starting with how do I boot into operating system. Also does it matter if after I deleted this software, I upgraded to windows 7 ultimate? Thank-you kindly!

Re: adobe software reinstallation

The only available original software for reinstallation will be visible in the recovery manager that is installed in the hard disk. Did you see the install software option on the menu as in the image I posted?

There will be quite a difference if you upgraded to Windows 7 from Vista. The partition that is the container for the recovery manager in the hard disk was probably deleted. It would have been the partition named "Recovery"

Re: adobe software reinstallation

updated from windows 7 home premium to windows 7 ultimate. Not sure what image you are talking about? there are 4 option catagories in recovery manager, and only the following one with these 3 options pertain. They are as  as follows, (1) "I need immediate help" - with following options (a) Drivers and applications reinstall ( and it is not in this), (2) "microsoft system restore" -  which say's you can restore from earlier date (this option could make me lose recent installed programs), (3) "system recovery" -  which would restore to factory condition. This computer is less then 3 weeks old! thanks again for all your help and info, but I think I am out of luck?

Please identify your notebook. How to identify your HP notebook. I need to check to see if there is an update available for your notebook's Recovery Manager and must have the p/n (product name or product number) to do that.

I meant this image. Software program Installation. This is from my dv7-4180ea Recovery Manager's menu.
