my Laptop model is HP ENVY 4 1212TU sleekbook [ http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03619719] which comes with 4GB RAM. can i upgrade its RAM into 8GB?

Any brand is fine... as long as the pin count, clock speed, voltage, etc. are correct. Please see the Crucial Memory Advisor for possible selections.
