hp mini 1000 hard drive ssd to regular hd upgrade?

I have the hp mini 1000 with the 16gig ssd option with windows xp.

The drive runs out of space constantly even though I only use it to browse the web and check webmail.

I run cclean regularly to free up space.

I think the windows updates and ms security essentials updates are taking up a lot of space.

I'm considering swapping the ssd out for a larger conventional drive.

Are there any tutorials or instructions for swapping out the ssd with ziff connector with a hard drive?

what brand / model of hard drive do I need for it it fit?

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: hp mini 1000 hard drive ssd to regular hd upgrade? 1030nr

The actual model # of the mini is 1030NR.

It has the 16gig ssd option.

The drive reports as full even though no applications are installed.

Windows xp,  deleted applications, used cc cleaner, and compressed unused files.

This usually creates about 300 megs of space, but it fill up in a few days.

I would like to replace the 16gig ssd with a larger ssd or even a regular hard drive.

Which replacement hard drives will fit the hp mini 1030nr?  It has a ziff socket which seems to be incomaptible with most the ssd's i see on Amazon.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you
