my hp pavilion g6 1201tx has 4gb ram and can be upgraded to 8gb, so if i upgrade it to full 8gb(4gb+4gb) will it be a stress for the motherboard or i should go for 6gb(4gb+2gb) ? as the new game configurations getting higher 4gb ram is facing problems.please direct what will be a good and safe option.

As per the specs given below in the link your unit has the capacity to handle upto 8GB ram.

Its a little bit confusing as if my motherboard can handle 8 gb ram (4096 MB × 1+4096×1) then why the manual shows Supports up to 6 GB of system memory in the
following configurations:
6144 MB (4096 MB × 1 + 2048×1) �.Please help.
