Hi eveyone,

my HP notebook is the pavilion dv5-1024el (windows 7 x64) and I would ask you if it is possible to mount the DVB-T TV tuner module (spare part number 482899-003). I've seen that some similar models are sold with this part by default, but my notebook isn't. Therefore i was asking you if there are some technical reasons why this notebook is provided by default without this part. I just want to be sure before buying it!

Hi,

 

There are dozens of dv5-xxxxaa models, one model has these options, one model has those options and you have to pay for add-in parts. Your machine is just one model.

 

Based on this book

you can add the DVB-TV to your machine BUT you need more than just this module, you have to buy antenna module and may be software to go with it.
