Re: pavilion dv 6119ea help

Hi:

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

If it has the Mobile Intel 945 chipset, you can install up to the T7200 processor and 2 x 2 GB of PC2-5300 memory.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01035677.pdf

BIOS update F.25 allows for 2 x 2 GB of memory.

Re: pavilion dv 6119ea help

You're very welcome.

A T6600 will not work because it has an 800 MHz FSB.

The max processor FSB you can use in your notebook are those with 667 MHz FSB's.

Re: pavilion dv 6119ea help

Hi:

The T2700 is not listed as a supported processor.

The problem is if the BIOS does not have the microcode for that processor, it won't work.

Why not just install one of the supported processors listed?

There are several processors with a 667 MHz FSB that are not listed as supported and I can't tell you if any of them will work or not.

Re: pavilion dv 6119ea help

I don't understand your question of "What's all."

Below is the list of all the supported processors you can upgrade to.

Intel Core Duo T7200 (2.00-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T5600 (1.83-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T2350 (1.86-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T2250 (1.73-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T5500 (1.66-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T5200 (1.66-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T2060 (1.60-GHz)

Intel Core Duo T2300E (1.66-GHz)

You may as well just go for the T7200.

Hi:

No HP notebooks can be overclocked for memory or processors.
