Please what do i require to upgrade  the processor of my notebook from the current:

model  LH359EA     with pentium R cpu P6200 @ 2.13 Ghz to an i3 or i5 processor.

Can I just buy the processor accesories and install directly?

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

The best processor you can install is a Intel® Dual Core i5-2540M 2.60-GHz processor (SC turbo up to 3.30-GHz; 3.0-
MB L3 cache, 35 W)

Yes, this is a "drop-in" replacement and if you can follow the Manual you can open it up and swap the CPUs.

Here is the CPU on eBay:

It is not the easiest thing to do. I would encourage you to consider a RAM upgrade or solid state drive before trying to change a processor, but the bottom line is it can be done and in your case would probably yield a good speed improvement.

Thanks, I really dont have any problem with dismanling laptops printers etc. or putting them back together without a problem or scratch. I am learning and this is a very good reply for me . Thanks . I already had put in an 8G RAM before now and i need much more. Might turn out to be a whole lot cheaper than picking up a new high end laptop. Thanks again. I will report my findings later.
