I am wanting to upgrade RAM on Presario V6503AU GN410PA model.  Can I use 2x2Gb pc2-6400 to give it something extra or do I need to stick with pc2-5300 RAM?

Here are the specs for your Compaq v6503au notebook computer and the Maintenance and Service Guide for the v6500, v6600, and v6700 notebook computers. According to the service guide, the system supports up to 4GB of PC2-5300, 667-MHz, DDR2 memory in 2 SODIMM sockets. You may be able to use PC2-6400, but it it unlikely to give any boost.

Thanks for reply. I will save some dollars and stick with pc2-5300 ram.
