I want upgrade my hp pavilion dv6 ram from 6 gb to 16 gb i beleive i need two 8 gb modules ddr6 pc3 10600s, what brand of ram should I use ?

Hi:
It doesn't matter. I've seen Kingston and Samsung RAM in HP PC's.
I use Crucial, Kingston, Patriot, and G Skill myself--whichever is the least expensive.
Are you sure your dv6 can take 16 GB?
Most of them only take 8 GB.
