Aligning Printhead on setup

Hi All,

 

New to this forum, so greatful for the advice and assistance.

 

I have just purchased a HP 6500A plus

Am just setting up the printer have installed the cartridges (ones provided with printer) yet on the alignging printhead this shows up on the screen but the printer seems to be hangning nothing further happening, when it does take the odd sheet of paper through it just feeds it through.

 

I have tried this now a few times and allows get to this point and no further.

 

Am stuck not sure what's happening so appreciate any help.

 

How can i finish the setup when it woont provided the aligned printer setup page to allow to finish the setup. this is so new there should be no need to contact HPas cant see why its not working. really need to get this working urgently as got some important documents i need to prnt out.

 

Have installed all drivers needed on my laptop.
