Windows XP

 

Since I rarely print in color, can I replace my color cartridge with another Black and White cartridge?

The color cartridge cannot be replaced with a black cartridge.  You could remove the color cartridge completely and print in "reserve mode" where the printer would automatically revert to B&W.
