Black ink stop printing on my c6380 photosmart printer

It was working.  Ran all the diagnostics from site and everything shows almost full ink.  Using HP ink and have taken it out and back in, turn off and on the printer, and cleaned head at least three times.

Has anyone else had this problem and can I fix it?

The new slimmer 564XL does not work with my c6380. I tried 2 cartridges both brand new in HP retail packaging.

I have gotten the new 564XL (slim) to work on my C6380 printer again.

I performed the following steps:

1 removed all ink cartridges and the printhead

2 powered off and unplugged, replugged and powered up

3 got print head error message

4 powered off and re-installed print head

5 powered up and got missing ink error message

6 installed all four ink cartridges.

7 powered off and on

8 waited four minutes for “printer preparation” to complete

9 print test page

10 admired full 4-color printout.

While the print head was out of the machine, I held it under the hot water tap

until all ink was removed. I let the head dry toughly.
