When I print anything black smudges appear on the right side of the page.  I'm not sure if its the toner or another problem I should investigate.  I'm working on a Mac.

Hi @hello81 ,

I read your post and see that you are getting black smudges on the right side of the page.
I would be happy to help you.

We need to determine if it is a toner issue, fuser issue or a software issue.

Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.

I have provided a document for Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues to see if we can resolve this issue. There are steps for running the cleanings and calibrating the printer. Skip the Windows documentation.

Print a Diagnostics page by going to Setup, Reports, Diagnostics Page.

Please provide the results of the Print Quality Page and Diagnostics Page.

What kind of paper are you using?

Are you using Genuine HP Toner?

Thank You. I look forward to hearing from you.
