Blacks not working on Photosmart B210

My B210 photosmart won't print black.  I had left the printer, empty of cartridges, for 2 months. On return, I noted old cartridges seemed not to work, so I replaced.  All fine, no alighment problems, but black didn't work initially. I made sure no vent problems (didn't see any..ran a pin along it just to make sure). Tried again. Some blacks came through, but cutting off tops of lines at many sizes. Doesn't seem to be an alignment issue...jsut looks like ink not getting through. Is this a clean printhead issue? Any ideas? This is why I hate inkjet printers.  I'm tryin to find a help  or chat line on this site to no avail...Mary

HI,

 

I think part of your printhead might be damaged. Did you leave the printhead in the printer when your did not use it for 2 months?
