Check print Cartridge light blinking

How to reset hp psc 1350 (check print cartridge) blinking light with code (E) displayed. window XP. color and black cartridge OK but not new. Issue started after I installed black refill not EOM. I installed the latest driver from Hp but no resolve to the sticking issue of the blinking light. I ran the (HP print and scan Doctor) program and it came out OK , but the issue remains and the printer doesn't work at all
