Error: Check Printer Documentation

As soon as I turn on my printer, I get an error message on the printer screen that says "Check Printer Documentation".    Anyone have any advice?  

 

I've tried un-installing the Hardware drivers and re-installing.   I've tried the on-line diagnostic tools, and it says everything checks out fine.    I've changed out the printer cartridges and still the message comes up as soon as I turn on the printer.     Pushing buttons on the printer does nothing.
