Hi We have a HP DJ D2600 which the user has replaced the cartridges for, now everytime they print they get a message flashingup saying they have installed Genuine HP cartridges they click the box to never show the message again and click ok but it constantly flashes up and they have to click ok several times before the document will print.
I have removed the driver reloaded, loaded the full driver suite run the update and isntalled a critical update but still it keeps happening. I have seen a couple of posts on this forums and others that relate to changing a reg key but the reg key does not exist the machine it is installed on is Windows 7 and is connected via USB.
Any thoughts anyone?

I have the same problem with HP Officejet Pro 8600. Using the setup cartridges for now, but will switch over to new ones soon, and am hoping it goes away.

Make sure you acknowledge the messages inside the Hp Message Center. By just clicking OK on the pop up will not stop the messages. If you have a handful you can Ctrl-Click and highlight all the messages and then close them all at once.
If acknowledging it inside the Message Center does not fix it you can permenantly disable all messages by opening the HP Utility which is inside the Applications folder (in Finder). Once inside HP Utility there should be a button in the top right for Settings. Click that and uncheck the boxes for displaying alerts.
Hope this helps!
