I have a Deskjet 3520 printer. I have installed new HP ink cartridges, printing in colour works fine, but the black will not print. Even if I force black only in preferences to print greyscale nothing comes out. The print head moves back and forth and sounds like it is printing but the page is blank. I have also run the clean heads cycle.

My issue seems to get fixed after i ran a "Clean printer" options available.
If you guys having this problem, why not try cleaning ?

I see that you're having problems with your printer printing in black. I would take a look at the document below.
Let me know how it goes.

Thanks, but it didn't work. I tried everything. Can i remove the printhead and clean it manually?
The printhead on this printer can't be removed. Have you verified the ink levels are good & run a couple of Printhead cleans? If that doesn't solve it I would definitely recommend contacting HP Phone Support as you may require a replacement printer.
Please let us know how you get on
