HP Officejet Pro 8500A Premium ink malfunction

HP, I hate you! Well, it's not you so much as technology altogether. Anyway, this printer has given me headaches since I got it. When it works, I love it (though it is slow and noisy), but when it doesn't...

 

I boaught some new cartridges for the thing since my yellow needed replacing. I replaced it, got through about 5 sheets and was told the yellow needed replacing! Now it's down to 2 sheets. I got into chat here and we removed the cartridges, shut down, replaced the cartridges and powered up. That seemed to fix the problem and I completed that job. Tried to print today and my yellow cartridge needs replacing! It is full.

 

Someone, please, help me get this piece of wonder technology crap working!

Please help. I need this printer. My business and hobby requires it. I'll be driving to Wisconsin mid-month and I have a few docs to print out before the trip. I have people counting on me.

This is ridiculous. It's a brand new printer and it's useless. I didn't register when I got it, my bad, so my warranty doesn't show up. Tried to register and the "service is temporarily unavailabe." I followed the directions in help and it still shows that I need yellow ink. How am I to get this infernal machine to work properly.

 

I get real tired of trying to make these {Content Removed: Language} toys work the way I want 'em to work and my life is going down the tubes as I fiddle-fart with them.

{Content Removed: Language Filter Evasion} I can't talk to anyone about this or find any useful contacts or information. My printer is still under warranty but not registered. I'm a 100% disabled vet with a severe hearing loss (phones aren't my favorite toys). This work that I do is all I have left in my life and this printer is stalling me. I can't dance, I can't sing, I can't even keep clean, but I can write, one letter at a time. 

 

Please, please hep a broken old man.

I cannot work w/ this printer not functioning properly. I thought HP was supposed to be a stand-up company which supported its customers. With service like this, I may never buy another HP product again!

Where is the customer service for this company? I ordered a new yellow cartridge with free one day delivery and it's been three days! I'm supposed to leave Monday for a convention and I have product to print out and a balky printer. This "new" yellow cartridge I have is crap (I'm shaking it, like in the old days, just to get it to spit out my stuff) and I've been patiently waiting for my replacement cartridge.

Sorry to hear about the issues you're having with this printer

Is this the link you used to register? Were you able to get through or is it still saying 'not available'?

I haven't received the yellow cartridge. Trying to find the right number to call or the right email to use in virually impossible for me on this site. I've been putzing around on it since my first post and yours is the first response I've received. Thank you.

 

I have hearing problems and using the phone is not one of my favorite things in life. Nevertheless, I tried to find a number to call and couldn't unless I wanted to be shunted around all day, whch I wasn't willing to endure.

 

Since it was next day service, I expected it to be sent FedEx and have it dropped at my door (my mailbox is down the road), but nothing has shown up either at my door or in my mailbox.

 

Frankly, I'm quite tired of trying to deal with HP, but I'm stuck being on a fixed income. If you, dear lady, could expedite my order, I would much appreciate it.

 

I did finally register the printer (my computer is another matter for another day), but I had to estimate the purchase date, not being the most organized fellow in the world.

I've just completed a 10 day road trip, part of which was business, and I've returned home with still no replacement cartridge for my printer. I'm checking out replacements for this useless brick now. If I ever get the chance to make a recommendation for technological companies, HP will not be high on the list!

 

Please, send me my yellow cartridge!
