Hi, I just bought an HP 7515 printer. I was wondering in regards to the ink usage as follows:
1) When printing black and white documents only, are the color cartridges being used? I have a Kodak printer that uses the color ink which is very wasteful. This is why I bought the HP, but am having trouble finding out about the ink usage. My old HP used only the black ink.
2) Also does anyone know when the color ink runs out, can you still continue to print in black? Or will the printer not print until you replace the color cartridge?
Thanks for any help. Chris

Hi Netjunky, there's some useful info in the link below. As you have a PS 7515, check out the references to IIC systems in this document....

Hope this helps
