Ink Cartridges/Printer

I have an HP Photosmart Premium 310 series I bought at Costco for $150 about 1 year ago.  I've done very little actual printing on it.  Mostly because it always has one problem or another.  First, it was never on-line via my wireless network.  I uninstalled then reinstalled more than once and now it works occasionally.

However, I no sooner got over that issue, when I just purchased ALL 5 of the nice expensive little cartridges and carefully reinstalled them.  And GUESS WHAT?  Now I get BLANK PAGES when I print.  Oh, I tried the cleaning process - didn't do a thing.

Now I break down and come here only to find out many other people are having the same problem.

Does HP make a product that works? 

I'm so tempted to wrap it back up in the box, along with the $150 worth of cartridges I've purchased and send it back {Content Removed: legal discussion} on behalf of all the other hundreds of thousands of people who have given more of their money to HP than they deserve.

 

HOW ABOUT A REAL SOLUTION?  Any one at HP have any real solutions? 

 

I know if I provided the kinds of solutions to my clients that HP seems to, I would be out of business. 

 

I would love for any of you support people to prove me wrong.  Give me a real solution to the problem that gives me a long-term fix to my ability to print, and I'll send you movie tickets. 

 

DON'T however, start talking to me about warranty issues, etc.  I'm already ticked off that I had to give you information to register here so I can simply ask a question of you about what seems to be a very inferior product.

 

Can you tell I'm just a wee bit frustrated.  Make a product that works and work consistently or don't make one - it's really pretty simple.  Business 101.

Hello AngryBird50,

 

 

Perform the below step.

  • Touch on Wrench tool icon on the printer control panel.
  • Touch on  TOOLS , then
  • Touch on  Clean Cartridges.

Now Try making a color copy . Does it print ?  if yes then the printer by iteself is working.

 

May i know the Operating System on your computer ?

Hi Jabzi -

 

Thanks for responding to my request.  My apologies for being so frustrated.  I performed the Clean Cartridges process a couple of times.  I do get a print test page with color blocks across the top.  But the printer won't print anything in black ink.  I installed the printer onto another laptop I have and ran a test page.  It printed the nice Windows emblem in the upper left corner (in color) but nothing else.  So it seems to be narrowed down to the black cartridge - the most important for me, of course...
