I am on my third batch of genuine HP 564 ink for my HP Photosmart Premium printer. In most months we don't even print anything, when we do it's a page or two. I bought the genuine HP 564 inks from Amazon (seller was Amazon.com, not another vendor) late last year, and three months ago I started getting "low ink" warnings already. Since we barely use the printer, I thought it was an error and didn't buy any ink.
Now the printer is barely producing any output. I printed two pages last night and it's obvious that some cartridges were already completely empty. Also there is no more black output.
The Genuine HP 564 inks says they should average 300 pages for cyan/magenta/yellow and 250 pages for black and 130 6x4 photos for photo black. We barely reached 10% of these figues - in fact since purchasing this last batch of Genuine HP 564 inks we never even printed any photos.
I suspect I got defective Genuine HP 564 inks. Can I get some replacement for Genuine HP inks which barely produced 10% of their advertised capacity?

Hi. I don't have a solution, but I have a similar problem!!! I just installed ALL NEW ink cartridges, have printed approx. 20 pages, and the ink indicator is showing black as nearly empty, and the others as low. I also notice my printer cleans the printheads before or after EVERY print job. Does yours also? I suspect this is HP's way of selling more ink??
This is my first...and last...HP Printer!!! I thought spending a lot of $$ on the "best" printer would mean I'd get quality. Instead, I've gotten an education on HP.
I hope you get a response from someone who knows why we are using so much ink. BTW, my cartridges are all Genuine HP ink cartridges.
