Ink System Failure, Oxc19a 0036 for HP Photosmart Premium C309a

When I replaced the Print Black cartridge last week, My HP Photosmart Premium C309a, purchased 12/22/09, now defaults to the message: Ink System Failure, Oxc19a 0036. I need to know if this is repairable. Can I replace the printer head. For what cost? Or must I now purchase a new printer?

If issue still persists, then please call HP Tech support ( US ) - 1-800-474-6836 for other options.

Thanks Jabzi,
I clicked on your link, but the link failed. However, I did find the Ink Failure solutions page yesterday and ran through the suggested fixes. Unfortunately, nothing helped and I did finally call a Tech. I have now purchased a "reconditioned" HP 8600 to repolace my C309a. Hated to spend the money, but hoping it will last longer than the last.
I appreciate your input.
