Thank you for your reply. Yes I did try cleaning and resetting several times after spending hours searching the HP web site.  I also tried two new yellow 02 cartridges and there was no low ink indication just a message to use an authentic (?) HP cartridge.  I never used a refilled cartridge.  In fact I had about $80 worth of cartridges on hand.  One of the new ones came from Walmart and the other was shipped from HP.  After spending several hours trying to correct the problem my solution was to go to the store and purchase a non - HP printer all-in-one since the one I had wouldn't even pring in black!  This is the first time I switched brands and we have had 4 other HP printers.  Wish me luck!
