Ink level still shows low after replacing cartridge on OfficeJet Pro L7680

Replaced black 88XL cartridge, still shows low ink level but prints come out OK.

Have you used XL cartridges in your printer before? According to this article it may just not be reading it correctly. I would read the article below even though that states a different ink number.

My bad!!

At first I thought it might be the "electronic device" on the cartridge that was at fault but when I rechecked it against the cartridge I replaced it felt a little light.  I weighed both cartridges on a postal scale and they weighed the same-1.9 oz.  It turns out that it also was a used cartridge that I must have placed in a new cartridge cardboard container so I thought it was new.  I even found the date I had written on the cartridge when I originally installed it, should have looked more closely.  Case closed.
