Hi,

I have the above stated printer, as the toner inks ran out I replaced them with the genuine cartridges for all 4 colors.

However, it does not print black. Need your help ASAP.

I tried doing printer alignment, when it prints the alignment page and I scan it, scanner does not detect that page also.

Thanks.

Regards,

Deepankur Kukreja

Hi @DeepankurK , and welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're running into ink issues. I would like to help!

I would recommend removing the ink cartridges, and performing a power reset.  Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

I would then suggest following this document on  Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

HP 3525 is a poorly designed or manufactured item. I had the same problem - after 18 months of use the black cartridge stopped printing. None of recommendations laid out here worked: head cleaning, alignment etc. They suggested here (sorry I cannot find the topic that I joined re this issue) that there might be a problem with the cartridge. No there was not: I took the printer to service and they told me there that the problem was the printer itself and offered to change the black head for the money I can get a brand-new printer for! They also told me that 3525 is notorious for this defect, people keep bringing them by dozens. It's outrageous! I
Now I have to get myself a new printer and please rest assured that it's not ever going to be an HP thing again.

I fully agree with previous comment on this problem of black not printing from my Deskjet 3525.  I had someone take a look at the printer and the fix costs more than a new printer.  His comment " printers are made to be thrown away when they give problems".

So I am in the market for a new printer, and it will not be a HP product.  I have owned three of them now and two years seems to be their life expectancy.  It may be a bit of a lottery in finding a better product but I am now out of HP products
