My black cartridges will not print. I tried changing them. I can only print in color.

I have an HP Photosmart C6380 All In One and my black cartriges will not work (I tried changing them).  I did a clean printhead but when I tried Align printheads, I get an align failed message.

I am having the same trouble, anyone have any help?

Nothing yet.  I tried the HP Solution Center and they said I need a new printhead.  Problem is, they do not sell new printheads.  I don't really accept that answer, but I'm ready to give up.

I had the same problem. I found a solution online. I pulled the ink cartridges and then removed the cartridge holder by raising the arm on the right side of the holder and lifting it out. I rinsed it with warm water and let it sit overnight to dry. I did not towel it off. The next morning I put the ink cartridge holder back into the printer, put the cartridges back and the black started working again.

I am now having to do this again after about a year. I ran across your post while looking to see if HP has any other solutions. Good luck.

I changed my cartridges and now the black will not work.  I tried changing the black cartridge but it still doesn't work.

@nergif, sorry that you are experiencing the same problem. You may need to manually clean the print head. 

Take it out and clean with lint free cloth and water. 

You may need to replace the print head. If so, contact HP Support (1800-474-6836).
