New color cartridge doesn't print color

New color cartridge doesn't print color, only greyscale  (HP Photosmart all-in-one printer).

Re: New color cartridge doesn't print color

What is the model number of your printer? This will help me understand the issue better.

Also, when you try to perform a copy from the front panel of the printer, does it print in color?

Re: New color cartridge doesn't print color

I replaced all the colors but the black does not print. I cleaned the printer heads also.

Re: New color cartridge doesn't print color

Hi, What is the model number of your printer? Have you checked the ink level in black cartridge? What is the current ink level?

Re: New color cartridge doesn't print color

It's an HP Photosmart C4650 all-in-one.

What is meant by the front panel of the printer?

Re: New color cartridge doesn't print color

First of all, check if the Print in 'Black only' or 'Greyscale' option is selected in your printer preferences. Follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Printers folder.

2. Right click on the c4650 printer icon and select printing preferences.

3. In the window that pops up, select the 'Color' tab.

4. Uncheck the option for 'Black ink only' or 'Greyscale' if selected.

5. Click on Apply and then OK.

Now, try to print and check if the issue is resolved.

If you are still unable to print in color, try to perform a color copy from the control panel. Click on the link below:

Check if the output has color. Let me know how this goes.
