My PSC 2350 continually has "remove and check color cartridge" on the screen no matter how many times I have taken it out and checked it or cleaned the cartridge. It will not allow me to access the set-up screen no matter what buttons I push. I have even switched color cartridges with one that I had refilled but the ailignment will not work, won't print any color but black. The original cartridge still had plenty of ink in it before it came up with the check cartridge error.

let me make sure I understand it correctly before I start downloading a bunch of stuff. According to this I still need to replace the offending cartridge before downloading, correct? Also the stuffit.com site will not come up and I have no idea if that is on my computer or not ( I have a 2009 Toshiba Satellite A505). Also this looked like it was for a Mac. Which I don't have. Just wanting to clarify this please.

Sorry. You're right. That is for a Mac.
I wasn't able to find much for that issue. There were two pages that came up. The other solution is for Windows XP and Windows 2000. Do you have either of those operating systems?

It sounds like the printer is not detecting the color cartridge properly. Have you tried cleaning the contacts on the cartridge carriage?

Thanks, I had not cleaned the contacts on the carriage, just on the cartridge. However I have already bought a new color cartridge and as soon as I put it in and ailgned it, it started working like a charm again.![]()

Hi LJ402,
Are you using OEM HP or remanufactured cartridges?
Make sure there is no scratches, ink, ECT on the copper contacts for both the cartridges and where the cartridges connect with the printer.
