My HP Photosmart Premium 309-g has stopped using mostly the regular black cartridge and almost exclusively uses the photblack cartridge.  I'm going through those at twice the rate of the regular black cartridge.  Not sure what changed.  I ran an align printheads and clean cartridge utility, but I'm not sure if that's when it started or that's when I started noticing.  Suggestions would be welcome.  All the cartridges are HP.

Check the paper type settings.  If it is set to Automatic or Photo Paper change to plain paper if you are printing on plain paper.  Avoid using the cleaning cycles if possible.
