Photosmart 2610 will not print black

My HP Photosmart 2610 will not print properly with a new black cartridge.  It prints only grey. I ahve cleaned the printer head and contacts, but with no success.

Hi, I am including a document that adds on the troubleshooting you have done so far. It addresses uneven darkness in black output.   It will walk through how to print and read the diagnostic page.  It also goes over aligning the cartridges too.
