Photosmart C4480/C458 0 Ink Jet brake

I have a Photosmart C4480 and aC4580. Both in my second floor of my house. One day both started saying that the cartridges (that were official cartridges, NOT refilled) where imcompatible. I open to cartridge door and I notice that there was ink all of the door and inside the printer. I try cleaning both and the C4580 magically starts working again although with some alignment issues. My C4480 still have not lost the Imcompatible ink Jet message. I don't know if there is anyone that has expirenced this same issue but has anyone solved it through thorough cleaning?
I have been having a lot of issue with HP printers and I am considering very much switching brands. I had plenty of issues with their laptops because of poorly manufactured electronics. If the company wants to keep its client it should really start taking responsability for their product. Again, the cartridges were bought in a big chain store, and are official HP cartridges. I don't want new cartridges; I want my printer to work.

Try cleaning the cartridge contacts, see step2 in link below
