Print cartridge alignment

HP PSC 1315 All-in-One Printer

Since receiving Microsoft updates, my computer no longer offers me HP programs eg HP Director, through which I used to perform scans. I can scan through the Microsoft program, so that's no problem, but when I change an ink cartridge on the HP,a colour alignment page is automatically printed but I seem to have no access to the program that checks the alignment after I place the colour alignment page on the printer plate. As I am unable to perform this alignment, the printer now prints another colour alignment page every time I switch it on.
How can I perform the alignment, or failing that, stop the printer from automatically printing a colour alignment page every time I switch it on?
I can't reload the driver programs or other software I received when I purchased the printer as they were on floppy disk, and computers don't have floppy disk drives any more.
troubleshooting : I have checked control panel for printer settings.

Re: Print cartridge alignment

Hi,

you dont need any software to complete the alignment. Just disconnect the usb cable before scanning the alignment page and everything should be fine.

Re: Print cartridge alignment

Hi

Many thanks, it worked.

This is my first post (second if you include my original request, so not sure how I "Say "Thanks" by clicking the Kudos Star in the post that helped you." and "mark the post that solves your problem as "Accepted Solution"", but consider it done.
