I have an HP Photosmart C7280. I recently ran out of ink in one cartridge and another had an expiration message, so I changed them both. One of them worked fine, but the other keeps showing that it is out of ink and now I can't print anything. I have tried reloading the cartridge several times, cleaning it and also a power on reset, but nothing helps. I also left the printer open for a couple of hours as I had to run to the store to purchase another cartridge and did not see the message about not doing this until I returned. I fear that something has dried out while I was gone. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance.

This is my problem eactly. The only new thing is that I bought my ink cartridges at Office Depot. They refilled the black cartridge, and I bought a new color. The black cartridge didn't register, but the color one did. I took the black refilled cartridge back to Office Depot and bought a new black one, now the printer says that the color cartridge is empty. I now have two new cartridges and the printer won't print.
I have turned the printer off, restalled the cartridges, etc. - nothing works. Unless this is resoleved it is my last Hewlett Packard printer.

My 8500 A 910a printer will not reset the magenta ink levels. None of the solutions I've found online have worked - including a new ink cartridge. This is my second of this model because I really liked it but it will be my last HP product unless I find a solution soon. Fed up with problems from both these printers and my laptop. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you can offer. Help! Please?

This has happened to myself as well as some people I know, usually you just take out the cartidge and put it back in. Print out a test page, and then check the ink level. It should reflect the new levels with the cartidge, if it's still not right then the problem's either the cartidge itself or the printer.

I am having exactly the same problem--the magenta cartridge was empty, I bought a new one and replaced it, and now the printer isn't recognizing the new one. The touch screen keeps showing that it is either "cancelling realignment" or a message that it is out of ink. It won't allow me to get to the main menu to run a test page or use the fax or scan...
HELP!
