Printer will not print

I cannot get printer to print.  I get message on printer.   Print Cartridges    Refer to documentation.  I cannot find documentation.

I have HP C5280   Photosmart printer.  I love it and have never had problems with it before.   Betty33

What operating system is being used on the computer this printer is connected to?

 

You may want to try some of the steps located in this article for cleaning the printer:

Just wanted your know.  I had tried about everything that had been mentioned and the web sites also.  Finally as a last resort and actually the most easiest I changed the color cartridge ( Ihad already changed the black with no luck). In changing the color it worked perfectly.  Not sure how long but good for now.   Betty33
