Smearing, bleeding

[ Edited ]
My printer almost always (not always!) is printing with red and yellow smears as well as some yellow vertical lines on the page. I'm attaching a file where the smears can be seen. This is a plain sheet of white paper that was printed as a test after cleaning. Smears are on the right side of the paper. The same smears print on almost everything we print. Any ideas? Any help is appreciated.

No problem. Here is a link that may assist you with this problem.

You can also perform a hard reset. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.

You can also update the firmware for this printer.
