Wrong cartridges bought for Photosmart 4480

I bought cartridges CB335E and CB337E for my Photosmart 4480. It seems that I need CB335EE and CB337EE.

 

The most annoying part is that I tried to test just the black cartridge but the printer insisted that I insert the color cartridge too. Now the shop will not change either.

 

Is there any way I can persuade the printer to accept the cartridges that I have?

Hello zaphod_es,

 

Printers only accept printer cartridges designed for the printer. This is to keep from damaging the printer and causing you more problems than you started with. There is not a way to force a printer to accept a cartridge that it is not designed to take. I'd suggest trying to resell those if the place of purchase will not take them back and purchasing the proper cartridges.
