By the way Ciara.  You gave me a phone number to call and as I mentioned above the Canadian lady was very helpful.  She said she would search around and phone me back.  About an hour later she called and said she had located the part I needed and she could send it to me.  I asked her if it was in Canada and she kinda chuckled and said no.  I asked her the cost of the part and she quoted over $135 dollars.  Now add shipping, border crossings and taxes and we're gettin close to $195.  You know something,,,, somebody should go straigt to jail.  International arms dealers have less mark up.  I'm at my ropes end and all I can say is what happened to NAFTA (the North America Free Trade Agreement) and oh yeah Shame on you HP

I am from Romania and I bought a photosmart 7510 printer a few months. The print head is broken and guess: neither in Romania is not available CN642A ! My cost on the service roads are higher than a new print head. But there are online stores that provide printing heads .... Search Google  5-Ink Printhead v1 (Service Kit) and find on amazon ebay. To the online shop in Romania a print head costs about $ 50 (is made ​​to order...HP original). A new print head by Parts store HP France is 30 euros (my brother is in France).
   I do not understand why HP does not offer these products, right on the money? Print heads are on the market. HP probably fears that no longer sold the new series printers. But not everyone can afford to buy a printer a few months with $ 200. I prefer to take one of 200-250 U.S. dollars every three years and 2-3 print heads (this sensitive print heads).

Thanks for letting me know I'm not alone with my HP problems and that there is sloution.  However cost is 62.41 Canadian dollars and then 38.77 shipping charge.  Now if our government decides to take on what they call a DUTY it can add 35% to the deal.  This farce is to protect Canadian manufacturers (whom do not exist)   So the total can be about $136.Dollars for something I can buy whil my feet are in the USA for 36 bucks.  Before that I hope the HP rep on this site can and will help us out with this issue.

I feel like ordering 10 or 20 from HP, when I'm in Arizona, then starting an E-bay store and selling them for 72 bucks and having the customer pay the postage inside Canada which would be about 12 dollars.  Hey now I'm on to something.  I have already bought a 7510 from Costco but I will not open the box until I hear from Ciara the HP help line peson.

My expensive C309-g crashed after just a couple of years. Error message is that the print head is missing or damaged. Went through the whole routine via HP support to clean, readjust, etc., etc., and nothing. Here is HP's price for a new print  head, a little PLASTIC part, $73.30, really? Another throw-away printer, just buy a new one for $99.00!!!   Part search results
