Hi relsar
What is the exact message you're seeing?
Note that sometimes refilling a cartridge can affect it's print quality and reliability
http://www.qualitylogic.com/2009HPinktest.pdf
http://www.hp.com/sbso/product/supplies/remanufact
One thing you could try is cleaning the cartridge contacts, in case there's some debris there
Please let me know how you get on
Kind Regards, Ciara

Most newer cartridges are "chipped" by HP to prevent re-fills. Been there are seen it myself. You can try:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-QEHBgQUfHY has 20sec intro and step by step instructions page.
After video ends you will see other helpful videos.
tape the contact method:http://www.ehow.com/how_7298533_reset-60-cartridge

This is just not true. It is true that typically refilling cartridges will not reset the ink level indicator, and the cartridges will still appear to be empty.
Check the error message, I do not know of any HP printer with integrated printheads on the cartridge that do not allow printing if the printer thinks the cartridges are empty. They do refuse to print if the cartridges fail certain electrical tests which can sometimes be resolved as Ciara_B indicated.

Bob,
I will not debate your mindset, you need to do your research before you assume.

The pages you link to do not suggest that HP "chips its cartridges to prevent refilling" and in fact HP does not do that. I happen to have been involved in the development of the Low on Ink indicator for the Deskjet 970 and several later models and can unequivocally state that "HP does NOT 'chip' cartridges to prevent refills." It is true that in many cases refilling the cartridges will not reset the low on ink signal, but this will not prevent printing in any of the HP models that have integrated printheads with the ink supplies.
The pages you suggest have workarounds to trick some printer models into thinking the cartridges are full and showing a declining ink gauge based on the original HP ink fills. This may or may not be accurate for a refilled product, depending on how much ink was replaced. It will also not work on many of the later products that do not remember serial numbers in the printer but rather mark the cartridge as used or depleted as it is used up. That said, having the cartridges marked as empty will not prevent them from printing. Electrical issues, either from a cartridge that has failed electrically or due to an interconnect issue between the cartridge and the printer may cause the printer to reject the cartridge. If you are really interested in research you might look into my patents on the subject, US patents 7101029, 7137690 and 7467862.

Thanks for the comments Bob
I agree that having the cartridges marked as empty will not prevent them from printing. Relsar, it sounds like your refilled cartridge isn't rejecting in the printer; it's just showing an Empty message. As suggested you could try restting the printer to get rid of the message, or maybe go with the workaround
- If you remove the tricolor cartridge, the printed output is grayscale.
- If you remove the black or photo cartridge, the product is slow to print, and the colors in the printed output might not appear as expected.
Just as an FYI on this whole topic, with HPs Smart Printing Technology you can get pretty accurate ink levels.
Hope this helps

There is no need to reply with such aggression ie in red just normal text will be sufficient.

Read the entire thread. The large font and red text was needed to correct a very misleading statement. The suggestion that HP "chips its cartridges to prevent refilling" is not correct and that needed to be made clear.

At the moment, I am experiencing difficulty on my refilled cartridged. Let's see if you can resolve my case.
I have a printer an HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 2060 - K110 printer. When my black innk run out, I refilled it with a quality ink from a refutable ink store. After refilling with 3ml of black ink and reinstalling it to my printer, the printer still read it as empty.
Aside from carefully refilling the black cartridge I did nothing.
Do you think that refilling the cartridge has damages the electrical thing of the cartridge? THe printer still shows empty black ink and I dont know how to reset that counter so that I can go on printing again.
any help will be appreciated
