printer does not print black, only color, printer and cartridge statis are both green.

cannot find thiscondition adressed in any hp info.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

This may sound obvious but is all the protective tape removed from the black cartridge? Take the black cartridge out and have a look.

 

If this is not the issue then please look at the troubleshooting document at the following link:

Expand the Windows section. There are a number of suggested steps to take
