how are ink cartridges calibrated for HP Photosmart 3210 all in one os is windows xp

I followed troubleshooting for ink printing problems.  Colors are not vibrant and true as they should be.  I am at the last solution suggessted which is calibrate the ink cartridges.  I can't seem to find how to do this in user manual or online help.  Thanks.
