how do you remove and clean a print cartridge on a c6180 all in one. I am getting a "error 0xc18a020

I am working on a friends C6180 all in one printer and I get a 0xc18a0206 error. I have tried all the troubleshooting steps, except cleaning the print head. any help is appreciated. also do any of the newer all in ones use the same ink cartridges, all the ink cartridges are new.
