i just put in a new cartridge and when printing it skips lines

I have a HP Photosmart C5580 ALL-IN-ONE Printer, Scanner, Copier, Windows XP, no error message 

cannot print full page skips inbetween some lines.

hi there gmitch, 

 

Lines in printing can be quite troublesome :smileysad:. I located some troubleshooting for the issue in this article here. Give the steps a try and let us know if it helps.
