hi I have removed the color cartrageand replaced it an am still recieving the same message. This happened before and I replaced the old with a new cartrage even though it was more than 1/2 full. it seemed to work for a short while.
Now this new cartrage is getting the same message. I have rebooted the system and cleaned the catrage according to the trouble shooting guid. nothing works. it is like the printer is frozen.

The community will need some information in order to help out. What model of printer is this? Different models have different steps to take to resolve the issues even if error messaged are the same across the board. What Operating System do you use on the computer that is connected to the printer? How long have you been getting the error message? Lastly, did you clean the printhead and the contacts inside the machine too when you cleaned the cartridges?

Same issue.. new cartridge - at least 3/4 full - is this a scam to get HP owners to keep buying cartridges to try, try and try again? VERY let down by this unmerited fault arriving from nowhere

Already have...
Took all the cartridges out and reset them all.
On some models that will help it straighten up.
cleaned the contacts already - zero difference.
I am going to buy one MORE COLOR CARTRIDGE today,
then if it gives me the same garbage, I shall destroy the printer,
while posting images on as MANY forums / websites etc..
as a friendly service to others thinking of buying unreliable HP junk.

I am sorry that you are having that issue. That other link was in reference to Clarefish's printer, I have went out though and looked at the steps for cartridge rejections for your PS and the steps were pretty much the same. So, if you have cleaned the cartridges and reset the product I think that getting another cartridge is a good step to take.
