new cartridge won't work

I installed new black and color cartridges into my F4240 and now the color won't work. If I print b/w it works fine. If I print color it will print about 2 inches of the page and stop and show E. Also, the two columns at the top for the ink levels takes the level down to low on the color side. I've removed/reset the cartridge multiple times to no avail. Even put the old cartridge back in and it worked fine (exceot light because it was low). What do I do?

Hi there, this link contains potential solutions for print quality issues on your printer, including missing colours 


If you're still having problems after working through the suggestions you could try returning the cartridge to the retailer your purchased it from and explain the problem you're having. Hope this information helps, all the best.
