I will need some more information in order to help out? Is the printer emitting blank pieces of paper most the time? Or are colors missing from the print out? Can it make a black and white copy of color copy? ( I ask that to determine if the problem might be software related, color copies help determine hardware functionality). Define skipping for me please. is printing the bottom portion of a document and fading in out on the printed text as the page progresses? Also, what is the operating system of the computer that you have connected to this printer and how is the printer and computer connected?  Thanks.
