print cartridge issue

I have a All-in-One 4280 printer.  After printing on photo paper, I am now getting "incompatiable cartridge" message.  I have changed nothing.  I have cleaned both cartridges and still no change.  Can you help.

In order for the community to be of assistance please verify which printer you are using. The 4280 is either a photosmart or a deskjet.

You said you already tried cleaning the cartridge contacts? Did you try this article "Incompatible Cartridge C4280"? If not please try the steps in it.

I have tried all the cleaning suggestions, taking out the cartridge and returning it to the slot, and anything else that I have read to do.  I still am not getting results.  The message is the tri-color cartridge has a problem.  I don't understand why, after running photo paper through the printer, that this would happen.  I did not change anything other than the paper and all worked well before running the photo paper through the printer.  I guess my next step is to purchase a tri-color cartridge and try a new one.  Hopefully that will work.  Thanks for your help.

I would agree its odd that printing on photo paper seems to be the cause. You might also want to contact HP as HP Ink cartridges come with a warranty as well. You can find the contact number with the link below. I hope the new cartridge works for you.

Purchased a new cartridge and it seems to have solved the problem.   Thanks to Travis for your help.  I will look into the cartridge warranty as well.
